Cardiovascular Interventions

Cardiovascular treatments include all cardiac treatments such as: coronary artery stenosis, peripheral vascular diseases and cerebrovascular diseases.

One of the most common cardiac treatments in medical tourism in Jordan is the treatment of coronary artery blockages and stenosis through interventional catheterization or arterial and venous bypass grafting surgery, as well as the heart valve replacement and reconstructive procedures either by interventional catheterization (TAVI) or surgeries.

We also have good experience in treating electrophysiological heart diseases such as atrial fibrillation, rapid heart rate (tachycardia) or slow heart rate (bradycardia or heart block), and the need to implant pacemakers and defibrillators for the heart muscle. Cardiologists and surgeons in Jordan have great experience in treating congenital heart diseases in children and treat them by interventional catheterization or through congenital heart disease surgeries.

Recently, we have been able to reach an advanced level in the treatment of heart failure cases through medicines and cardiac equipment like (CRT). In addition to the establishment of rehabilitation centers dedicated for heart failure patients.

The length of stay for patients coming from outside Jordan varies according to the cardiovascular procedures that the patient undergoes, such as coronary artery stenting needs 48 hours, while the patient that undergoes cardiac surgery needs to stay from one week to ten days.
