Jordan Joins the International Hospitals Federation (IHF) through the Private Hospitals Association Membership

 

  

Jordan has become a member of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) through the full membership of The Private Hospitals Association in cooperation with the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) and in coordination with all health sectors in Jordan, including: private, government, military and university hospitals.
 
The Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association, Dr. Fawzi Al Hammouri stated that this step is a result of the association's keenness in being a representative within healthcare councils, organizations and federations both locally and internationally and strengthening Jordan’s position internationally  in healthcare , displaying the medical achievements that made Jordan to become one of the leading countries in the Middle East and the region in medical tourism, as well as contributing to improve health in general for all people around the world through providing healthcare institutions and facilities that are suitable and well managed.
 
Dr. Fawzi also added that the International Hospital Federation’s eagerness to include the Private Hospitals Association in its membership also came as a result of appreciation for the efforts done by the association to support the healthcare sector in the Kingdom and the region.
 
The IHF also contributes to improve the performance of healthcare institutions around the world by supporting initiatives to improve their response, efficiency and effectiveness, it also provides an international platform for its members in order to interreact, collaborate and exchange ideas, experiences and information between healthcare organizations and hence contribute in shaping the future of healthcare around the world. The federation also provides the opportunity to strengthen healthcare services through participating in its activities and benefiting from its resources. 
 
The federation membership particularly includes, but is not limited to, hospital unions, health representatives and other health related organizations from various countries of the world.
 
Jordan's membership in this federation contributes to benefit from the experiences of different countries of the world in dealing with the emerging Corona pandemic, as well as review Jordan's distinguished experience in containing the Corona virus and highlighting the great successes achieved by the Jordanian health sector with all its components in cooperation with the security services and various relevant authorities, hence we look forward to benefit from this success in enhancing Jordan's position as a distinguished regional destination for treatment.
