PHA and (HCAC) organize a workshop about accreditation for private hospitals

     

 
Private Hospitals Association (PHA) in cooperation with The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) organized a workshop about accreditation for member private hospitals at the association’s headquarters on Monday, 10/12/2018.
 
Mrs. Rabab Diab Executive Vice President of (HCAC), Introduce a lecture during the workshop which included a brief about the Council and its role in granting hospitals and other health institutions a certificate of accreditation after meeting the requirements of this certificate.
 
The lecture also addressed the criteria and policies that must be met and approved in private hospitals to obtain the certificate of accreditation in addition to the plan of preparation for this certificate.
 
Mrs. Diab said that the certificate of accreditation contributes to helping hospitals improve quality, provide safe health care, quality services to patients, and train their staff to manage quality programs and ensure respect for the dignity and privacy of the patient and maintain his safety and participation in his health status to become a participant in the service and not a recipient, and ensure the continuity of good service and care around the clock and at any location in the hospital, as well as communication between the providers of care and service of the patient to reach the required level of this service at all times.
 
Mrs. Diab pointed out that the (HCAC) does not oblige health institute to obtain certificate of accreditation but urges these institutions to obtain this certificate because it has great benefits for them and it gives these institutions the freedom to implement the accreditation requirements and gives them the flexibility to provide distinguished services. 
 
Dr. Fawzi Al- Hammouri, Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association thanked The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) for its cooperation with the PHA in organizing this important workshop, which he said was due to the Association's keenness to develop and upgrade the services of the member hospitals and to match them to the best centers in the world. 
 
He added that establishment of the (HCAC) in Jordan is considered as a remarkable addition that would increase the quality of services and contribute to strengthening Jordan’s position as a destination for medical tourism.
