The Private Hospitals Association, represented by its President Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri and the Board Members, held a meeting, on Wednesday 16/7/2025, with Mr. Hussam Abu Ali, Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, to talk about the National E-Invoicing System and the way to implement it. The meeting took place at the department's headquarters.
Dr. Al-Hammouri expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and the role played by Mr. Abu Ali in highlighting the importance of the National E-Invoicing system. He said that this system aims to digitize and unify the process of invoice issuing and tracking to ensure more transparency and tax compliance. This would help to verify invoice accuracy and simplify the tax-related steps. Dr. Al-Hammouri also pointed out that there are certain challenges facing the system implementation, especially with insurance entities, and physicians. He called for finding suitable solutions so that private hospitals can apply the system without disrupting their operations.
On his part, Mr. Hussam Abu Ali confirmed that activating the National E-Invoicing system will support the work of private hospitals, particularly in issuing invoices and collecting dues. He also emphasized that it will enhance transparency since all operations will be digitally documented and tracked.
He added that the system will ensure the issuance of official tax invoices in line with the laws, which will reduce tax evasion by providing a unified and clear structure, in addition to minimizing human mistakes in invoice processing.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Abu Ali thanked the association's board members for their attendance and for their continuous efforts in improving the private hospital sector. He also praised the association's role in upgrading the quality of healthcare services in Jordan.
