The Private Hospitals Association appreciated the keenness of His Majesty King Abdullah II to take the lead and patron the main event to launch the Vision of economic modernization, considering the great impact of His Majesty's serious care and aspiration on taking the recommendations and outputs as the keys to sustain development and of all sectors.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, The Chairman of the Association, welcomed the Vision’s outputs, which were the result of discussions that took place in the National Economic Workshop held at the Royal Hashemite Court based on the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
Dr. Al-Hammouri highlighted the unique elements Jordan is distinguishes for; specially the reputable health care sector that has a recognized record of achievements in the field of Medical Tourism at the regional level due to the availability of health capabilities, specialized medical skills, and distinguished modern hospitals . Noting the importance of strengthening cooperation between the public and private health sectors, and the role of the health sector in supporting the national economy, as it indicated the sector's contribution of one billion dinars to the gross domestic product. The percentage (3.2%) of the gross domestic product, and stressed the need to improve care services health by preparing the necessary strategy to enhance the performance of the health system.
Dr. Al-Hammouri also pointed to the importance of what the Vision emphasizes with regard to strengthening the health sector and promoting Medical Tourism, so that Jordan would remain one of the most preferred destinations in this field, with affordable prices and high-quality health care experiences, in addition to designing and implementing a program for the development of Medical Tourism.
He praised the Vision's emphasizing the excellence of the private health sector with regard to the quality of health services provided to patients without the need for a waiting period.
Dr. Al-Hammouri expressed his hope that all the outputs included in the Vision of economic modernization will be implemented in all vital sectors in the Kingdom, especially since it is given attention, support of the leader of the country, and will surely be a road map for the coming years.
