The Private Hospitals Association (PHA) is a private voluntary, non-profit organization that was established in 1984 representing the Jordanian private hospitals and their interests.

Private Hospitals Association represent the sector in several health and medical councils in Jordan such as Jordan Medical Council and Jordan Nursing Council, HAKEEM Program, HCAC and the Jordanian Air Ambulance center. In addition, the PHA presents the sector internationally through the members in the Arab Hospitals Federation, governing council member of the International Hospitals Federation. Furthermore, the chairman of the PHA, Dr. Fawzi Al Hammouri is one of the founders of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) and was the president of GHTC from 2015 till 2017 and is currently the honorary president of GHTC.

The PHA has gained distinguished reputation locally and internationally and in order to keep this remarkable reputation, it assist members in providing integrated high quality healthcare services to their patients and building the hospitals’ capacity to become globally competitive.

PHA achieved “Best Practices Award” from the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in 2009 & 2011 and “The Seal of Excellence” award from the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in 2013. And in 2014 the PHA received and through the profile presented to International Medical Tourism Journal the award of “Jordan, Best Medical Destination of The Year 2014”. PHA Bi-Annually organizes International Healthcare Travel Conference in Jordan, the last one was in 2019 and more than 700 participants attended it from 50 different countries.

And we are organizing the largest forum specialized in healthcare travel in the MENA region, “International Healthcare Travel Forum 2022” which will be UNDER THE ROYAL PATRONAGE OF HIS MAJESTY KING ABDULLAH II IBN AL HUSSEIN. The IHTF2022 is held in cooperation with the Global Healthcare Travel Council, the International Hospital Federation and the Arab Hospitals Federation during the period 19th – 21th of Nov 2022 at the St. Regis Hotel in Amman – Jordan. We are honored that the IHTF2022 is supported by the Ministry of Health and Jordan Tourism Board.
