Effective participation of the Private Hospitals Association At the Dubai International Health Tourism Forum

 

   

 
The Private Hospitals Association participated in Dubai International Health Tourism Forum (DIHTF) 2018, which was held in Dubai during the period 20-21 February 2018. Participating hospitals included Jordan Hospital, Istishari Hospital, Istiklal Hospital, Specialty Hospital, King Hussein Cancer Center and Al Rashid Hospital Center.
 
The forum was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
 
The chairman of the Private Hospitals Association Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri said that the participation of the private hospitals association in the forum and the accompanying exhibition, which he described as a distinctive and effective, aimed at informing the participants in the United Arab Emirates and participants from around the world on the advanced level of treatment services provided by the private hospital sector in Jordan, in addition, The many advantages the Kingdom enjoyed by the medical tourism sector.
 
He pointed out that the Private Hospitals Association is always keen to participate in international health conferences and exhibitions in accordance with its strategy to promote Jordan as a destination for medical tourism in the region and marketing the health sector in Jordan to the widest segment of participants in these conferences and exhibitions as well as benefiting from the experiences of countries competing regionally and globally.
 
The chairman of the Private Hospitals Association delivered a lecture during the forum on medical tourism in Jordan and the excellent reputation of the Kingdom in the world. He also talked about new trends in therapeutic tourism and the challenges faced by the patient and how best to make this experience comfortable and safe.
 
In his lecture, Dr. Al-Hammouri addressed the volume of tourism in the world and said that the figures for this tourism vary according to the international bodies that prepared the studies related to them. The figures ranged from 50-150 billion dollars annually.
The Dubai World Health Tourism Forum, which focused on the theme of "rethinking" healthcare, aimed to bring together leading public and private health and travel leaders and create a platform for sharing knowledge and experience in healthcare and travel experience.
 
The forum witnessed discussions focused on ways to enhance the health travel experience worldwide and improve global medical tourism practices.
