Information Technology in the Health Sector A workshop at PHA

      

 
The Private Hospitals Association (PHA) in collaboration with The Information Technology Association of Jordan (int@j) organized a seminar on the use of information technology in the health sector. The seminar that was attended by representatives of both associations, was held in line with His Majesty King Abdullah II vision to automate the local economy and its institutions. 
 
int@j member companies presented the latest technologies that have been introduced worldwide to serve the health sector such as 3-D printing technology and the use of cloud storage for easy access to patient records, etc… Private Hospitals’ representatives also explained what they need from IT companies, as they are looking for specific solutions that will assist them in computerizing hospital work. 
 
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, PHA Chairman, thanked Int@j on their cooperation in facilitating this workshop saying that it comes as part of PHA’s efforts to empower member hospitals and provide them with the tools needed to facilitate automation of hospital medical, administration and financial records.
 
Eng. Nidal AL-Bitar, Int@j CEO, stressed the importance of such workshops as they provide member IT companies with an opportunity to get in direct contact with an essential sector of the local economy, saying that new technologies will benefit the health sector in many ways and improve both medical care and service they provide to patients.
