Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association participates in the Jordanian economic delegation to Baghdad

             

Dr. Fawzi Al- Hammouri, Chairman of the Private Hospitals association Participated in the Jordanian economic delegation headed by Minister of Industry and Trade Dr. Tareq Al-Hammouri representing the private hospitals sector at the Baghdad International Fair 2018 (BIF) and the Iraqi and Jordanian businessmen forum.

He stressed the importance of the Jordanian participation in (BIF) and the Business Forum that held in Baghdad with the participation of senior officials and businessmen from both sides.
 
Dr. Fawzi Al- Hammouri also met with the Iraqi Minister of Health Dr. Alaa Alwan, where they discussed strengthening cooperation between the private hospitals sector and the Iraqi Ministry of Health and various Iraqi health institutions, indicating that there are broad prospects for cooperation in the field of health, including the provision of treatment services for Iraqi patients, especially that the Iraqi brothers trust the Jordanian health sector.
He added that Iraqi patients ranked second in terms of the number of patients admitted in Jordanian hospitals during the current year by 22.5% of the total Arab and foreign patients admitted to the private Jordanian hospitals, In addition to providing training opportunities for Iraqi health personnel from various medical and technical specialties.
Dr. Al- Hammouri reviewed the Jordanian role in the reconstruction of the Iraqi health sector and the opportunities of health investment in Iraq in partnership between Jordanian and Iraqi investors in building and managing private hospitals in Iraq to benefit from the Jordanian experience that stimulated investment in this sector which private hospitals make up 60% of the total number of hospitals in the Kingdom.
For his side, Iraqi Health Minister expressed his keenness to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries, praising the great role of the Jordanian health sector in serving the Iraqi patients during the exceptional circumstances experienced by Iraq, stressing his interest in expanding cooperation in various fields.
