Minister of Health meets the Board of Directors of the Private Hospitals Association

   

 

Minister of Health Dr. Ghazi Al-Zibin met with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Private Hospitals Association)PHA)  in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry Dr. Hikmat Abu Al-Foul on 23-10-2018 to discuss issues concerning the private hospitals sector.
 
Dr. Al-Zibin praised the private hospitals sector and its important role in supporting the national economy. He also stressed the importance of medical tourism as a strong supporter to the health sector and other sectors, stressing the need to remove all obstacles that impede this tourism. 
 
He pointed out that the issues raised by the Private Hospitals Association are of great importance and will be the subject of a comprehensive study to overcome the challenges.
 
Dr. Fawzi Al- Hammouri, Chairman of the Private Hospitals said that medical tourism is one of the challenges facing the private hospitals sector, noting that the facilities in granting visas to patients from restricted countries did not achieve the desired results.
 
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Hammouri presented other challenges including the treatment agreement between these hospitals and the Ministry of Health, which has been in effect for more than ten years without any amendment and the issue of delay by the Ministries of Health and Finance to the claims of private hospitals for the treatment of insured patients and dialysis patients, which exceeded 50 million dinars.
