Private Hospitals Association and the Jordan Investment Commission Organize a workshop on incentives and exemptions

     

 

Private Hospitals Association (PHA), in cooperation with the Jordan investment commission, organized a workshop for member private hospitals to introduce the services and facilities provided by the commission to national companies and institutions.
 
The lecturers from the Jordan investment commission, in addition to income & sales tax department and Jordan customs department, presented the benefits, incentives and exemptions offered by the Jordan investment commission that could benefit investors in the health sector.
 
The lecturers also explained the details of the exemption law for the hospital sector, investment window, taxes and exemptions and other matters of concern to the health sector.
 
The lecturers responded to the inquiries of the representatives of private hospitals,  which focused on the exemptions system, especially those related to the medical equipment that contribute to the development of hospital services, as well as the facilities and incentives that hospitals can obtain from the Jordan investment commission.
 
They also stressed the interest of the Jordan investment commission in supporting the private hospitals sector, which is considered as one of the most important economic sectors that provides distinguished health services for Jordanian, Arab and foreign patients.
 
Dr. Fawzi Al- Hammouri, Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association thanked the Jordan investment commission for its initiative to cooperate with the Association in organizing this workshop as an important opportunity to inform private hospitals about how to benefit from the Encouraging Investment law and the exemptions, facilities and incentives available.
 
He also praised the cooperation between of the private hospitals association and the Jordan investment commission in all efforts that would benefit the private hospitals sector and its investment activity, which would also contribute to expanding the scope of these hospitals, developing their services and enhancing their competitiveness.
 
Dr. Al Hammouri expressed the hope that the Jordan investment commission will include all equipment related to the work of private hospitals and its various services in its exemptions and incentives system.
He said that the facilities and incentives provided by the Jordan investment commission increase the chances of expansion and the construction of new hospitals, which provide job opportunities for Jordanians and reduces the unemployment rate, noting that the number of employees in private hospitals exceeds 35 thousand people 95 percent of them are Jordanian 
 
He added that organizing this workshop comes due to the interest of private hospitals association to achieve the purpose of awareness of member hospitals on facilities and exemptions offered by the Jordan investment commission to private hospitals so that they can benefit from in the development and modernization of medical equipment in particular.
 
The representatives of the private hospitals expressed their appreciation and thanks to the private hospitals association and the Jordan investment commission for organizing this important and useful workshop.
