In the main session of the Jordanian – Polish Forum which was held in Warsaw , Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri ,the Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association, presented a lecture entitled "Expanding Health Travel, Jordan as a Success Story."
He reviewed Jordan's success in medical tourism and the achievements made by the Jordanian health sector over the decades, which contributed to making the Kingdom a destination for patients from all over the world to receive treatment. Al-Hammouri discussed in his lecture the other segments of Amman Declaration which include Medical Tourism, Dental Tourism, Wellness Tourism, Spa Tourism, Culinary Tourism, Sport Tourism, Assisted Residential Tourism, and Accessible Tourism.
Dr. Al-Hammouri added that Jordan has all the necessary requirements to receive visitors interested in benefiting from all these segments, including the availability of qualified medical services and sophisticated facilities and tourism, spa and mineral water and the largest natural resort in the world, the Dead Sea, and called for the need to market these services in Poland to increase the number of visitors to the Kingdom.
Al-Hammouri reviewed the success story of the Jordanian pharmaceutical industry, which succeeded in exporting its products to more than 75 countries, including the European Union and the United States of America, and called on Polish companies to benefit from Jordan as a gateway to the Arab countries.
The Jordanian-Polish Business Forum aims at enhancing cooperation opportunities and exchanging experiences between Jordan and Poland in cooperation with the Jordanian-European Business Association and the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
