Election of a new Board Members of the Private Hospitals Association

 

     

The General Assembly of the Private Hospitals Association, on its annual meeting on Saturday, 5/5/2018 elected a new Board Members. The new Board Members are the General Director of the Specialty Hospital Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, General Director of Jordan Hospital Dr. Abdullah Al-Bashir, General Director of Al Israa Hospital Dr. Nael Zaidan, General Director of the Islamic Hospital Dr. Ammar Abu Soboh, Chairman of the Board of Al-Salam Specialisty Hospital / Karak  Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, Chairman of the Board of Heba Hospital Mr. Uday Asaad and Deputy of General Director of Farah Medical Campus Mr. Karam Zeid Al-Kilani.
 
In the first meeting of the new Board Members, Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri was elected as Chairman of the Board, Dr. Nael Zaidan as Vice Chairman, Dr. Ammar Abu Soboh as Secretary General of the Board and Mr. Uday Asaad as Treasurer.
 Dr. AL-Hammouri said, the election process was conducted in a relaxed and transparent manner and attended by 95% of the members of the General Assembly, adding that this indicates that member hospitals are moving around the Association and their keenness to enhance its role in serving its members in particular and serving the Jordanian health sector in general.
  
Al-Hammouri said that the most important achievements during the past months was the unification of the private hospitals sector under the umbrella of the Private Hospitals Association, Representing the sector locally and internationally, and pointed out that the Association is currently represented in all councils, health and economic institutions, and all relevant committees in Jordan, in addition to its members in the Arab Hospitals Federation and the International Hospitals Federation and The honorary presidency of the Global healthcare Travel council .
 
Dr. Al- Hammouri stressed that the new members of the Board will work together to achieve the goals and objectives of the Association and implement the operational strategy which has identified several segments, that include raising the quality of services provided to patients, promote Jordan as the best medical destination in the region, enhance the role of private hospitals in health awareness and community service,  and reducing operational costs to allow hospitals to develop their performance and increase employment opportunities for Jordanians and reduce unemployment.
 
At the beginning of its ordinary meeting, the General Assembly of the Association listened to the administrative report of the Private Hospitals Association for the year 2017. PHA Chairman reviewed in his report the most important activities and achievements by the Association during the year 2017, as well as the most important challenges and obstacles facing the private hospitals sector.
  
Dr. Al-Hammouri appreciated the support of His Majesty King Abdullah II for the health sector and medical tourism in Jordan, and His Majesty's support for the private hospitals sector and his directives to overcome obstacles, stimulate investment in the sector and support medical tourism.
