The Private Hospitals Association in collaboration with the Integrated Technology Group organized an introductory workshop to present the new Medical and Wellness Tourism online portal MedXJordan to member hospitals to encourage them to participate in it.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, PHA Chairman introduced the online portal saying that is comes to facilitate interaction and communication between patients in Jordan and abroad with Jordanian doctors and hospitals in an easy and efficient way, moreover, it is an excellent way to present Jordan’s advanced medical and technological facilities. Dr. AL-Hammouri added: “This online portal is considered an excellent example of the public private sector cooperation, being a national initiative it holds great importance as it is supported by major stakeholders in medical tourism industry in Jordan including Ministry of Health, Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Interior Ministry, Doctors Syndicate and The Private Hospitals Association”.
Mr. Walid Tahabsem, President & CEO of ITG gave a presentation on the new online portal and showed how it works explaining the benefits that hospitals will gain from joining this portal. Mr. Tahabsem added: “We are launching MedXJordan to maintain and boost the leading position Jordan has attained as a medical tourism destination, and to attract patients from new untraditional markets. Moreover, MedXJordan also aims to increase investment in the health sector and raise medical tourism revenues that will positively reflect on Jordan’s economy”.
