Orthopedic Surgery

Orthopedic surgery is concerned with conditions associated to the musculoskeletal system. The most popular surgeries done in Jordan are total knee replacement, total hip replacement or partial hip replacement, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, and spinal surgeries, vertebral stabilization and orthopedic reconstruction.

The number of patients traveling for orthopedic procedures has increased dramatically over the past years due to an increase in the elderly population.

Minimally Invasive Arthroscopic Surgeries

We perform many minimally invasive (arthroscopic) operations for sports injuries in joints such as the knee, shoulder, wrist and ankle joints. These operations are characterized by rapid recovery and reduced postoperative pain, in addition to a shorter length of stay at the hospital and returning the patient to his country within a shorter period.

If you are coming to Jordan for an orthopedic procedure, you will need to spend between one to two weeks, depending on the type of procedure and your hospital’s protocols. In general, preoperative evaluation is done on the day after arrival, surgery on the following day, then the patient is discharged from the hospital after two days.  And the patient usually needs around two weeks to recover and undergo rehabilitation therapy before traveling home.
